Do Ford Cougar ST200's exist?

As above.

I was in another Forum, and a guy in the UK said his parents own one. I said I've never heard of them and done some research, but I'm a little confused.

One site is saying they were never put into production AT ALL, while another is saying they were sold only in the US and Canada, yet i have seen one for sale in Ireland (although it looked like a normal 2.5 with later ST badges on it!).

Any help?

Nope the cougar was to have a better intake system aswell rather than 1 intake it would have 2

People are full of shit when it come's to cougar's and the ST200 version,

The only cougar worth owning at one time would have been paul's cougar s,Supercharged

In all fairness, (According to Wikipedia atleast) the ST200 was very close to making production and going on sale. Doesn't deny the fact that they were BOTH bullshitting when they said relatives and what not owned one.

It wasn't put into production at all apparently mate. It was going to be called the Cougar "S" over there and the ST200 here, but they abandoned the idea. It's a shame as it would of been nice for the cougar to get a little extra power as 170hp isn't exactly mind blowingly fast in the Mondeo/Cougar, but the standard 2.5 V6 can put out the same power as the ST200 with a few of the ST200 parts bolted on, so no big deal.
