Don't know how much it costs some to fit a sierra floorpan to a escort like beefy is doing or even if this is something different

iv had 3 G3 now and all the genuine gartrac was on a Q plates is this 1 ?

thats wrong mate,if you pestered the local dvla you could get a age related plate to the majority of dates on the invoices of the parts used.
sure there was loads of q platers but i did see correctly registered gartrac escorts like gwyndaf evans's y reg mk3 gartrac tarmac car that ran a nissan 240 rs motor.
the g reg gatrac escort rs500 powered red rooster booster that was on the front cover of performance ford back in the day when new etc etc.

im not sure all of them did cutch , however it could have been retrofitted with standarf wings in a bit to look standard,

nice car , but for three k you could have one built to accept cossy running gear for less than that , id say around the 2 k mark ,

plus all the gartraks ran mk two running gear , live axels and what not


better options in these modern times ,

a couple of woman my uncle knew called pat jeffs and carol pearl rallied a gartrac g3 built from genuine parts supplied by gartrac,it had the lot apart from the alloy arches.
they did single venue rallys with it and the co drivers fella who was high up in r-e-d the cosworth specialists built the car i'm sure i have seen it in ireland now but you did see them witout the arches and like i said they look a bit shit really much better get the alloy rallycross arches the car first was developed with. gartrac used to just like now will sell you a part or will complete a bodyshell to order.

id say thats well over priced,got offered one not long ago with a running 2.8 v6 needin a wee bit of welding too the sills and im sure it was only £1200
