What would you have for £10k?

E46 M3? big power 200sx? 3 door?

or build yourself something a bit more special?

you wont build anything that special for 10k mate.. all depends on what car you want ie something to drive everyday or something for the rip at the weekend etc??cheers

you can build yourself a nice rs turbo cossie powered car with that which may be deemed special! big power zetec turbo? depends on if you want something reliable.

erm 8 miles a day for work. the rest is fun.

Dont want anything as big as an M5.

Just something good to drive and relatively quick.

Honda S2000 would be fun... then when you get bored, take it to TTS and supercharge it so it goes SERIOUSLY fast.

+1 6 GSR is first thing that came to mind, but M5 always an option as said. Personally though has to be a 3dr...

I like the sound of that! got any more info on it?

Just reading Andrewg's connect build and that had me thinking, I think one could be built for £10k?

IIRC, the guy at TTS has been running 11-second 1/4 miles in his car.. and he hasn't had any engine work etc done as the S2000 comes with forged internals as standard.

ther is alot of choice at 10grand. but it depends what u want. if ur not botherd about deppreciation and u dont wanna stand out get an evo like that one in the link.
if u want to go seriously quick and stand out i would get an rx7 or a r32 gtr
if ur into old fords get a decent mk1 mexico.
i would have thought u would need reliablity if your going to drive it to work tho.
so i would probably be swayed towards an evo, or a supra or a golf r32

If you could get a decent E46 M3 for 10k then I'd agree.. but surely you cant get a decent mileage, decent history, decent condition E46 M3 for that money yet?! I havent looked for a while, but to get something reasonable, it used to be up around 14k a wee while ago.

A MK1 FRS would also be on my things to consider.

I'm just about to start building one of these, it'll set you back just over 10k all in to build it to this standard.

Mac Motorsport Worx

It uses a 2009 ZX10r engine 187bhp and weighs in at 435kg

Geared to around 120mph so pulls well through the gears

when you get bored a turbo conversion will increase your enjoyment
