Default Vauxhall Hydraulic Lifters

Can anyone tell me if all 16v vauxhall lifters are the same?

I've just had 16 new lifters in after the old ones were tapping, it's all been put back together and now it sounds worse than ever!! The car has been given plenty running time to ensure oil has built up in them. Also when it heats up it idles now at about 500rpm and eventually cuts out.

I've spoken to the company that supplied the lifters asking if he possibly mistook my Z14XE engine code for the X14XE, but they say all 16v vauxhall lifters are the same?!

Z14XE will be different than the x14 and there would only be 8 in the x14 kit

Late Corsa B 1.6 is the same, but the early 1.6 would be different

So the 1.4 is the same as the late 1.6 but different than the early 1.6

What oil are they running in ?

Whoooops your correct Doug, I was thinking the C14SE which is the 8 valve.

The X14 and Z14 use the same lifter
