IIRC was a dealer special dubbed the RS1900i, the original magazine feature said they were supposed to be 1900's but when released Im sure they were boggo xr3i lumps. A mate had one in about '89 after writing off his RS1600i. Jeremy Beadle once had a windup of one being run over by a jcb or summat.

one of them dealers deffo sold them new and i'm thinking now it was Peoples.

mate if you was around in the late 80's you would of seen all manner of shite kits for escorts,fibre sorts was the more reputable company.

there was cartel,kat.rga,panique,rgs,pro sport and many others selling iffy kits for fords.

i can't understand how come them red reflective panels that sat where your number plate was that said xr3,xr3i,turbo,xr4i,ford, etc etc don't make a come back and then your reg plate went under the rear bumper.
the 80's had all sorts of new shit for cars flying around and the rattlesnake kits are part of it.

Bought the rs turbo already fitted with it then had a smack on the front and had a cossie bumper and the morettes fitted along with a full respray lol.
Wrote it of, loved that car at the time but now i think, what on earth possesed me to do it lol

It was a design project with fibre sports and dagenham motors, it was based on the XR3i but then fitted with a Turbo Technic kit. My example has been garaged since 1993 and needs a rebuild as it seezed.........yes it a freaky looking thing but it a one lady owner freak with 31k on it.....PLUS it turns heads like you wouldnt believe lol...maybe not for the right reasons but hey.

Thats not a genuine RS1900 kit ,thats a fibre sport copy AKA "RATTLESNAKE" as you can tell by the Cossy style front bumper.
