tommies was a long wheelbase a2 with 20v s1 engine around 1991/2 then he put that engine in a s3 shell in 1993 when the rules went gpa

i think pat flogged the rs after he won the BRXC when he went feesta,i saw george tracy driving it and bless george he didn't seem to get on with it,george can afford the best in RX so its no surprise he had a doo with a 200,then it was for sale on the famous rx website minus the bdt donkey for 70 grand gbp and pat or liam seemed to get it.

i'm sure despite what people say pats wasn't a evo yet mr rallycross had a evo and a well rare evo2 rs200,he did some funny things with the cozzie donkeys did Martin Schanche.

yes you are right mate, the dorans bought it back from george tracey. liam used it in 2007 before getting a fiesta himself, dermot carnegies.

the rs200 was last used at the final round of 2009 british series at mallory park driven by ollie o'donovan. good to see the old girl again

back in the day schanche did alot of development on his rs200 pooling resources with thor holm iirc. transmission reliability was a big issue. i think schanche also helped fettle dorans 200 when he first got it.

they were all great to watch, especially the final year, 1992, when they were fully sorted missiles!

If i recall Pats RS stayed for a couple of days at schanches workshop in between the Swedish and Norway rounds when it reappered it was well sorted after Schanches tinkering.Speaking to Pat recently alot of the improved performance came from better handling better brakes and a bit of extra knowledge from the great man himself..Schanche's preperation of all his RS200's were second to none but also his choice of drivers to drive his cars was amazing just look at one Tommy Rustad if he had the funds back then he could well of been multiple ERC champion!

Just one more thing as for Alamaki's return?
The days of the the Porsche,Lancia and 205 Matti was at his best, when it was announced he was to return to the sport! part of me thinks he should not return Fantastic memorys from the past and with the current crop of drivers I dont think he will make much of an Impact
