Picked up a N97 White on Saturday its awesome, glad I waited.

Not crahsed on me yet use either touch screen or keyboard which is easy to use although looks small.
Iplayer loads super quick as does the constant update on Facebook on the home page.

Alot harder to text with whislt driving so I have given up.... GOOD TIMES!

I want a really good internet capable phone, and it seems to be between the Iphone, the N97 or the HTC Touch Pro 2... I had a Blackberry storm, but it was wank so I sent it back

. Still on the trusty old N95 Silver at the moment, but I am out of contract so can go to anyone I like

You will have no problems mate. There are some good deals to be had with free internet etc

I was offered £150 on my old n95 8gb but declined as it is awesome and will come in handy as a workshop phone.

How fast is the internet access on it ? I don't find my 8gig N95 all that at times even when connecting to my own network in the house.

Either way I need a new phone as the screen is seriously scratched on mine now

Id say its at least 3 times faster than the old n95, especially when using this site as a test, it loads the pages and images within a few seconds.

I swear ive NEVER had a problem surfing the internet on wifi at home, its just like browsing on my pc, bar the 19" widescreen.

Just done a test, from the home/stand by screen on the 8GIG, to the time this site(mobile version) is fully loaded and ready to go was 15 seconds

not a bad phone, fm transmitter is a nice touch. Pity the DVT receiever is useless in this country. However, the HTC Diamond, Palm pre, and HTC Touch pro 2 are far superior phones.

Its still hard as due to being touch screen you cant physically feel the individual buttons. Therfore end up typing some gobbildy goook.

N Series DO NOT COMPARE TO THE iPHONE!!!

N Series phones are the only phone that actually have top notch build Quality. Every other Nokia phone has a shit feel to it. The Symbian operating system is good but VERY unstable. It slows down alot once applications are installed.

However, iPhone has a bullet proof OS Software and applications run alot smoother than any nokia i have owned. The Standard phone is grea but Jailbreaking it makes the phone ALOT BETTER!!!

The new iPhone 3GS is a master piece as a standard handset. But again, Jail Breaking it makes the phone alot better.

I'm just waiting on my replacement handset to arrive since my own was stolen by a Somalian cunt who hand smahed the screen once we hand caught him

Good phones. typing on mine as we speak. internet is much much faster than my old n95 8gb on both 3.5g and on wifi. fm transmitter is pretty good. works perfectly with the sterio in the m3. it can be a little slow, but doesnt concern me. as a few others said its easy to text but you need 2 hands.

You wouldnt catch me with an iphone... Im just not a lover of anything apple and they way the lock them down etc. just my opinion before all the iphone geeks go mental..... same as xbox vs ps3 hahahaha

Just done the online update on mine to latest version, all went smoothly and it apparently fixes all the bugs it had with the facebook and weather widgets etc.

as far as i'm aware push texting is not supported by the n97. so you must manually log in and check your emails. the iphone and blackberry's just tell you like a text message and the blackberry works with 2 or 2 email accounts at once.

nokia's have had automatic email retrieval for years. You don't have to manually go and get them.

Having had an I phone and now the N97, I would be interested to know what the iPhone fans think it has over the N97?

I didn't get rid of the iPhone because I thought it was crap, its because Im a seasoned nokia / symbios user and couldn't live with the apple interface.

o2 wont be selling the n97, they dont list it on their website so i ordered mine through dial a phone only for the order to be cancelled and told that o2 wont be offering it on their network

so i had to order mine on vodafone, got it yesterday, its good but a few things are a bit annoying

txting is a bit more involved due to the touch screen like luca said

removing the memory card is a pain, u have to press the power button, select remove memory card, take off the back cover, remove the memory card then click ok and when u reinsert the memory card if your wallpaper picture is on it then you have to reset it to get it to display again

the bbc iplayer and youtube vids quality is not that good, i know bbc i player quality is not brilliant on a pc but it seems worse on the n97

oh and the keyboard is a bit small for my chubby fingers

other than that its great

i got an upgrade due yesturday and wll be ordering a N97 2moro . im more an ericsson fan but being on vodafone there just aint nothing else about but the N97 . wouldnt mind learning how to do that upgrade thing so all will run smoothly

As far as im aware the N97 will not be offered by 02 direct, You have to go to a dealer to get one on 02.

when i got my n95 8gb i had to wait for months to get it through 02 so im guessing they'll get the n97 eventually. i had my contract put down yesterday so i'll just wait (im not really in a hurry as i love my n95 anyway)

Menu / Applications/ SW Update.
It may not work unless you debrand the phone though as the retailers software is usually locked until they have checked it for compatability with their software, which can take months.

Iphone 3GS, using wifi, it takes 10 seconds to load the passionford.com homescreen in full from the springboard.

With regards to internet browsing, there isnt a mobile device on the market that surpasses the iphone, and I used to be a WinMob fanboy. The 3GS makes it that much more faster at rendering webpages and using forums as well.

You're welcome to come and try it Will if you want a go ..
