Alot of bands/small record labes use this site, lets you set up your own kinda shop and payments are done through paypal.
http://bigcartel.com/ A few examples.. http://gotrecords.bigcartel.com/ http://rottingout.bigcartel.com/ ..not sure if that is the sort of thing your after. You could just have a 'pay now' type button on your website which people can pay your fee through using paypal.

Who are your clients? If their going to have to go online anyway, why not get them to pay you by BACS from their online banking? Nearly every business customer will have this facility and personal customers can do a rose-by-any-other-name transfer... Costs you nothing then!
If you really want to take cards, search for 'merchant accounts' or 'merchant services' - worldpay and cardnet are providers that spring to mind. Expect to pay at least £100 a year and a 1.5-3.5% handling fee on each transaction. Would've thought cheques are cheaper (when they clear!).... Chris |

I work for a 3rd party card payments solution company.
You get a merchant bank account and then come to us and we have all sorts of different terminals to choose from. We have a GPRS based one that you can use anywhere: http://www.commidea.com/pages/index.asp?content_id=243 In a lot of cases it works out cheaper than having a terminal from the bank itself. No i dont work in sales :P
