Sounds like you have clearance issues.
Coilovers are harsh but there shouldnt really be a noticable knocking noise. Mine never made a noise.
If the dampers are adjustable, maybe adjust them to soft and see if theres a difference?
If not then get under there and find out where they are making contact with the turrets.

Rose joints only need a tiny amount of wear to start them knocking....hence why they aint recommended for our shite roads. I used to run Bilstein coil overs on the 3dr and the rears were rose jointed at the bottom. The knocking from them drove me to sell them and fit a set of cheap AVO's insted

its probably the coil over topping out.. ?
Gaz ones seem particularly bad for noisy 'top out'
both on their coil overs and normal style adjustable shocks.

As peevee said either 'topping out' or in the case of mine now the spring rattles around due to how the height is adjusted and without helper springs to take up the slack they knock sometimes due to the spring coming off it's seat then going back in again. This seems to be most noticable round very tight bends where the suspension is unloading or over potholes etc.

this is on slow rolling in straight lines aswell as turning,, its comming from the N/S/R, its top mount knocking but could be the sound traveling as i dont have rubber top mounts, its just metal on metal with pillowball top mounts
could a cv joint on the rear do the same noise perhaps ?
