do you regret not just sending the car to a specialist ie stu,karl,tony harvey etc and getting it done right and you maybe would have had a good bit enjoyment out your car? just you never really here or there builds having the same problems as yours?

i spent to much...

i had over 60k miles of trouble free motoring on my own engine

and it was my car and my project, i enjoyed every moment of it

i would never pay anyone to build me a car, imo thats not fun at all

the new 500 bhp engine that was in my car was 100% perfect when it went to stu for mapping, ask him!

i was just unlucky with the head failure, and lost interest big time after all that effort

im a true petrol head, cars are what i do, im still the same person, but i drive an m5 now

dunno if that was aimed at me or not as im not saying anything about your standard of work.i just think some things are left to people who do this kind of thing day in day out.my dads been a mechanic and owned a garage for over 40 years and i know he could put a cossie engine together for me but id still rather go to someone who builds that type of engine day in day out thats just my opinion

I preferred the look and power of my escort over a stage 3 saff anyday, but I WILL get an EsCos with 400bhp. The handling on em is great, sorta like the rs1600i's

I only found the site when i saw the url on a car at a show.
I'm not a highly active poster but i'm with many on here and i don't understand people slating Fords on here.
I use it because its one of the most active sites that covers one of my car interests. Even with the new rules its one of the least moderated car sites i use. I like the fact that there's a broad cross section of people on here who have knowledge of various marques and not just fords.
I've not got Ford blinkers so i can appreciate most nice cars its just i really like my Fords. I've got 3 cars from 3 different manufacturers including 1 Ford.
Some sites i use aren't anywhere as active or friendly and you just get told to search for answers and noone helps new users.

The major problem is Ford have not made a genuinely great iconic car since the EsCos. Focus RS both old and new versions are both fooking lemons.
Ford need to release a 350bhp 4wd sports hatchback thats worthy of the title RS!
