Means its recordered mate, ie prob been in a crash or stolen recovered etc.
Wouldn't bother me as I've already owned a cat d porsche boxser s and a cat c evo 8 fq300.

As long as they have been repaired to a high standard they will always sell on, as there alot cheaper than a straight version.

Think it can be anything that will cost more than a certain % of the cars actual value to repair.

LOL sounds like the seller may be trying to be a little "economic" with the truth

read between the lines...its prob been nicked and recovered minus the engine then sold on as repairable salvage

You will never have a problem insuring it, it's trying to get a decent price off them should something go wrong that you will have difficulty with.

allways worth a look, just look for panel repair replacement panels etc a litsed car is a listed car but allways nice to know what was repaired, ive sold some in the past saying stolen recovered etc when in effect they have had a light tap, if the price is good enough go for a look take someone with you who knows bodywork

you need to go and see it in the flesh.
i had vcar recorded cars that have been properly repaired and are good buys, however ive seen some terrible cars that have been very poorly repaired.......

you have to take each car on its merit.

i know of an evo 6 that has had 2 front chassis legs fitted-it looks mint and has been properly repaired twice and most people wouldnt be able to tell.

but ive had a cat d mgzr that was silver with all red panels fitted down o/s and only the outer part of the panels had been painted, the a post was full of filler and nothing fitted..........i allowed next to nothing for it in p/x and it went to the auctions.....

Down in the southwest

I need to get rid of the focus though, what would it be worth? It needs a fair bit of work for MOT. Doubt i would get £1k for it

When I did the below to my Landy that was a Cat C the insurance company paid out £2000 more than I paid for the car! I've had 2x Cat C's and my TVR is a Cat D and never had any probs with insurance, They're a bargain but just hard to sell on so either crash em or keep em!
