yeah ho2s11 hego sensor is a common fault on the ka.its known as a duratec but technically its called a rocam engine.one thing i will say is that when upstream hego sensors go wrong there is a technical bulletin which requires an engine ecu upgrade too to go with the new sensor as old software can knacker the new sensor

you have to have it put on a fault reader, it could be anything, i am leaning towards the seals on the injectors going but it could well be turbo or pump has gone, so go to a local garage and find one thats got a fault reader

Mark nice one,
Just been out to start the car it started first time then after 2 mins warning came up again !!!
I have noticed is it normal for the turbo wushing sound as soon as you put your foot on the throttle????

the warning will do, the ecu will cycle see their is a fault and put the light on,

soon as you put your foot on the throttle so iam guessing the revs arent high, then no its not normal

get it to a garage fella

Default StreetKa Sensor

Hi, found this thread in response to the wifes SK throwing up the same code (after 40,000 miles). Bought a replacement sensor, easy, not so easy, getting the old one out. Not having a 22mm Box spanner (probaly a special Ford tool) I cut the top off the dead sensor using a small angle grinder, plenty of room. Got a single hex socket on it, it was VERY tight, even after soaking with WD40. Got it out to find that it's left most of it's thread in the cast iron manifold. So now I need a 18*1.5 thread restorer. Why they chose to mount it in a horizontal pocket in the cast manifold is beyond me. Anyone else had grief getting these bug**rs out, and did it end in tears, involving a new exhaust manifold etc......

Thanks

Gareth
