I really don't mind a laugh about this and even if it's aimed at me - I probably deserve it, but some constructive advice would be most welcome too

Got a slight refund for the coills that were useless, but other than that I'm afraid so.
However, in my defence, the full extent of most of this has come to light after I picked the car up with all the tests I have had carried out to support my case.

Many thanks. No it has not. I want it back to its former glory and looking like above. It's not unreasonable to get your car back in the same condition you gave it away in is it?

thats usually the case. you dont start noticing the problems until the initial excitement has faded and you start having a good poke around.
ive been stung by the knob that did my conversion but not to the extent of yours.

The problems were all noted and documented after I picked the car up the first time especially the horrendous repairs.
On my way home the new inlet manifold split and even prior to that, the performance was cack. THat's when a another new manifold was ordered and I was told the cams would be re-profiled. This was to be done to achieve the promised spool up at 2500rpm (closer to 4000rpm). Have been trying to sort things amicably but as they were not playing ball, have had to probe deeper. Needed new inllet and exhaust manifold repaired. When fabricator saw what I had sent him he could not believe his eyes. THat's when I sanctioned these and other tests.
Please tell me I am right in thinking this is not the level of service you should be getting from someone calling themselves a professional?

your definately right. your paying a considerable amount of money and you deserve to get it back in as fit and good condition as when you dropped it off.
sounds like your only option is a court case to recover costs. up here a small claims court is for under Ł3000. im not sure how you do it for over that.

As can be seen from the manifolds, work carried out to my car would probably have been beter from a hobbyist. When it was pointed out there were problems and some fundamental design flaws with the intake manifold, they insist there are no problems. THese results should not have come out from a professional. Here are some flow tests results I had done which shop just how bad the IM is;

The 'copy' refered to here is the above manifold.

You judge for yourself, but the company certainly supposedly has a good reputation. The work carried out cost Ł8000 and the car's performance is absolutely pants. I have been complaining but banging head against brick wall would be less painful.
Which port out of the five was this caried out on? Do you have comparitive data for all ports?

jogi730 - Believe me, no-one is laughing at you, once the joke of the guessing game dies down, hopefully we can get sensible and give you some good advice.

Until then, just ride the storm, we'll be through it in a while.
