I keep reading about people moaning about how PF is getting worse due to people picking on others, going off topic, spekaing out of turn, spam or just generally members being a nusance, well, its time you helped us to fix it and we have just the feature to do it...

To the bottom left of every single post on the forum is a "report post" icon that looks like a red triangle.

If you click it, you can report a post with a short desciption of what you think is wrong and it will be sent to ALL the webteam instantly.

No longer can people moan that a mod hasnt seen something and done anything about it, now you can let them ALL know with one single mouse click.

I have no faults with the way anything is dealt with here at all

You guys seem to kop all the flack when something goes tits up and get none of the thanks for keeping something like this running day to day.

there is only one small drawback to this which i can see

and that is you will now get an influx of people reporting posts in the intial stages that you will need to worry about before they get bored of pressing the button and nothing seemingly happening about it

i don't want to try it out as i don't want to add to the burden, but once someone has reported it, will there be a change in the icon to say the post has been reported?

otherwise you will have several reports from peole reporting the same post over and over again

just some, hopefully, helpfull input into the matter

Nope, long story but the topic creation wasnt initialised when the form was created, amongst other glitches. All up and running now though.

The problem is not Passionford as a site or the people who own it. Its mainly the people who post on it and some (few) of the moderators. Yes brown nosing goes on, yes people take threads of topic, yes people argue and fight etc.. Some moderators can infuriate members at times with poor modding skills, but now you have the ability to report it.

Going back to how it used to be would mean having a mod team and admin and most of the users who were into fords above all else and passionate about cosworths.

There was a comradary from this shared interest (well shared delusion more like, lol)

Not the dissilusioned and far more educated folks we all are these days

think it has been mentioned already above but if a thread/post has been reported will the triangle change colour?or will something come up saying it has been reported to save lots of reports on the the thread/post?

Just in case you wondered if you report a moderator they will be also sent a copy of the report, as this is what it does. However, I assumed that the moderator in question would not be sent a copy but they are.

Hi as you can tell by my info I aint been on PF as long as some of you but my opinion of this site is that its great! I have not been upset by anyone or any topic, etc so I cant see there bein any problems even with this new report system. keep up the good work!

When i first joined this site, it was Ford, Ford and more Ford's. now its BMW's Nissans and god only knows everything else. People post car questions in the general chat not it the car specific rooms.

And the big thing i hate,

Im not very well known by people on the forum, and if i have a question people dont answer you!!! Only the good few on here do. Thats what lets the forum down.

I know I tend to just take the piss these days but once upon a time, I used to love this site.

Ford people talking about Fords, friendly banter, unrestricted user names, Phil and Davescos

A time when the site was about the cars and the genuine enthusiasts....

A time when rainbird was straight, and Tony Mannock was married

Its all about money and BMW's now !!!

Even the admin only does it for the money now and drives a german staff car

PF will never be how it was !

Of course, all in my opinion.......

Sorry but i disagree.
If you want to read about Fords only, use the correct room. Things are moved fast nowadays where as we used to just leave them be. Thats why GD seems to be full of non ford, its because thats what its for and the mods cant move it elsewhere.

Example: want to read about Ford Escort Cosworths?
Try the Escort Cosworth Room.

Fair enough but if i had a BMW or nissan i would go to the appropriate forum for that, Loads of people ask ford questions in the general discussion, they should just post in the appropriate room in the first place.

Why not post about BMW;s or Nissans in here?
