Default escort mk4 fiberglass bonnet...

how much are they to buy and also who sells them?

is there any disadvantage having one?

in a mk4 escort running a 1.8 zetec, you wont notice a great difference if at all. for the hassle its worth i wouldnt bother. look at all the fast rs feature cars etc hardly any use fibreglass bonnets. get the insurance sorted, then engine conversion then if you have money left get a plastic bonnet

nope no pics

we put so much filler in it, it kind of defeated the point of having a plastic bonnet

i put a steel one back on in the end

for the time being

Wenny put a fibresports 1 on his mk3 along with the doors and bootlid the quaility of them was really good for fibreglass parts but the bonnet sagged and and went like jelly with the heat off the turbo so he put a normal bonnet back on

Christ he must have got a good batch then, they were a pain to fit (from a spectators point of view ) but the quailty of them was good.

Been stored at my parents since I swapped from a mk4 to a mk3 Gus, was never 'lost' as such, but I meant I have seen it and its still around

Both were made as proper 2 piece items, so none of this flexible crap thats banded about and useless.
