Default efi xr3i fuel pump relay and fuel pump rewire

what colour is the relay please,my car is playing up a bit and i think it could be down to the fuel pump so im going to rewire it,whats the best way to do it,should i just run a new live wire from the relay to the pump and then run the earth straight to the battery or should i replace the other wires aswell

yeh it primes the system 1st when i 1st turn the ignition on then it runs constant when i crank the engine over

when i rewire the fuel pump would it be best to run a live straight from the battery to the relay or does it have to have a fuse in line,what should i do with the alarm wire as that goes to the fuel pump relay aswell i think

ive got wire to rewire my fuel pump on my efi erst,ive bought 27amp wire,ive also bought a big fuse holder aswell,would a 20amp fuse be to much for the fuel pump and alarm immobiliser,would it be best to put the fuse before the alarm or after

what im thinking of doing is running a live straight from the battery to the alarm then to the relay(fuse will be inline before or after alarm)
then i will run the live wire straight from the relay to the pump
i will use the original trigger wire from the ecu to the relay to allow priming the fuel
what is the other wire for on the relay

does that sound an ok way to do it
