i know you have to disconnect the negative battery terminal and put a multimeter in between the battery and the terminal and switch it to amps
if its pulling amps is it just a case of unplugging things to find out which unit is draining the battery? untill the multimeter reads 0 amps?

Sounds about right, but remember something have constant live like alarm/immobilisers, clocks etc !
Minimal drain on them, but jus incase you forgot & ended up scratching ya head !

Disconnect the earth side, connect a test lamp between the battery and the earth lead and see how much it glows it should just glow very slightly as the clock will draw a small current, if it lights up bright pull out one fuse at a time till the lamp dims then that will be the cicuit giveing trouble. make sure the interier lamp is not on as this will draw power.
