need a light bulb
it's nearly 40 cm across measured from outside to outside
rather change the bulb than rip the false celing down to change the gubbins over so where can i get one?
with that fitting?
etc?

knowing my luck, they'll ask me to bring it in to have a look at what size it is, and then i'll break it getting it off and end up in casualty

Standard T8 circular tube, 40w if its 400mm. Only thing you need to check is if it is coolwhite or warmwhite and that will be stamped on it near the cap

If it does work out that you want to change the whole fitting you will NOT need to take down the ceiling.
