Default when refering to wheel width what is the J after the figure?

as above why do people say 8 J wide rather than 8 " wide?

what is J??????

J just refers to the rim contour shape, to do with tyre fitting, most people dont know what it means and just say it anyhow.

Just take "J" as inches, as thats what most clowns think it means, and the number before it will be the width in inches anyhow, so youl be fine mate.

Joking. Always knew J never stood for inches but recently been talking to jap car drivers and they keep using J and im sure they think it means inches.

J is the shape of the rim... you can get JJ for example.

rim width is always quoted in inches

Ive been claiming my cock is "8J" cause in a really small font I can just about squeeze the letter J onto it 8 times, please dont let the cat out of the bag that isnt the same as inches
