Default Zvh Re Re Re Build

Ive just been handed the task of sorting a constantly fooked ZVH. This engine has been built so many times you wouldnt believe it. The last build cost came in at 2k and the engine has alsready been converted to ZVH.

Right so the heads been taken off and now its my turn to rebuild the thing again.

At present the head is cracked and i have a concern that it is a carb head anyway.

The numbers are:
81SM 6090 1.6BRA

Which is the same as the head on my 1.9 CVH It has sort of oval inlet port shapes instead of the B- shaped ones that i thought that it should have!!!

Secondaly it has melted a hole in number 4 piston. Now at the moment this car is running on mfi setup with a dizzy and i believe that he ran it at well over 15psi. It has NO CHIP, NO MASSIVE INJECTORS, NO 5th INJECTOR, NO NOTHING!!!
Its just an MFI with a large intercooler. Im no real knowledgable fella on heavy tuning but even i would prefere it to be running on at least an EFI setup so that you can have a coil pack and play with injectors.

Thirdly the turbo. Running it at over 15psi which i think it did cant be doing it any favours. It has a bleed valve on it which i will be throwing away as i hate them and the amal valve is still plugged in. Can i do away with the amal valve by simply unplugging it or does it need to be there to stop the over boosting protection cutting in? As for the turbo can i just pipe the actuator straight to the turbo and set the pressure on the actuator so that it cant be adjusted.
I did this on my fez as it overboosted then the overboost cut in so i piped the turbo straight to the actuator and she ran fine!

So what i need is some general advice?
Is the head right or should it have a b - shaped inlets?
What fuel and ignition should it be running?
Can i do away with the amal and bleed valve?
Torque settings would be good dor the bottom end and head bolts?

Just feed me with your knowledge please lads and lasses if there are any.
This car has to be right its a track monster that only ever does 10 laps and goes pop even if its set up right?

for a start i dont know how he managed to run 15 psi surely the ecu would cut it out on overboost, and the reason its melted is probably down to no chip specced for this engine and also the fueling on the mfi benefits greatly from a union in the cross over pipe connected to the metering unit to aid fueling, if your not competent in building it i would get a pro to do it.

the car was originally an xr3i, im not sure what loom they used because they had a complete donor car. Im not sure if the amal valve is plumbed in correctly to make the overboost circuit cut in and to be hounest at the moment im not sure what ecu its running!!

one thing for sure is that the engine will be well built as i know a top engine builder who has done a zvh that is going well. As for the rest of the car its a case of starting again to get it right!!

So a parts list would be good. I.e What loom, ecu, injectors, what head gasket should i use any little funny bits i should know!

I have to get it right so that i get a go in it hahaha

Ive done 6 of these and they are all running s2 mfi managment and they all produce 200+bhp with the correct set up and i havnt had 1 failure, obviuosly efi is better alot more scope but if 200bhp is enough there isnt a problem.
