Ive been looking into some of these ebay zvh engines and have found this item number 330145460108, my question is can this sort of power be achieved just by skimming the pistons as i thought the compression would still be to high and the engine would pink when you tried upping the boost and timing ? as me and a friend done a cvh turbo one a few years ago with standard cvh pistons and didnt skim enough off and with the original set up that the original tubo engine was running it pink'd its head off

Be carefull,

As the one of the ZVH sellers on ebay (not the one your listed), aren't really rebuilt, as they use all the old parts, inc rings, shell, pump etc etc.



A good 1.8 ZVH on cast pistons, will be fine @ 200bhp if setup correctly.

this bloke reckons 295bhp with 25 of nos i cant see it myself

This isn't the seller i was talking about in my 1st reply.


300 bhp, i cant see Cast pistons lasting, he might be running forge pistons in his engine tho.
But 180bhp is all thats needed in a road xr2 to do 13.8's.

What do you reckon my 2ltr is running then just under a bar on a standard t3, my cvh turbo engine made 184bhp and this feels faster and more responsive, roughly

if its tuned, and all running well, 200-210 true fly bhp
