hiya got a 2002 clio want to take the instrument cluster out, but it looks like all one dash? nightmare??????????

only looked for a couple mins but couldnt even see any screws on the clocks etc

Hi, not too hard to get out, at all, but hard to explain.

The whole dash top comes off, but very easy.

Fully open the doors and on each side you will see a torx 20 self tapper, take them out. Then you should see 3x torx 20's along the inside of the car below where the windscreen meets the dash, undo them.

hopefully you should be able to lift the dsh top off.
You will prob have to give it a short shop shock with an upwrds movement from under the lip of the speedo head area.

Once that is off you should see the other torx 20's holding in the speedo head, you may have to undo the steering column surround too.
As there might be some screws hidden below,

to undow the stereo contol on the steering column(if fitted), flip out the little plastic trim on the control and there will be a torx 10 under there.

Been a while since I worked on renaults but I hope this helps.

cheers i actually got it out in end by just undoing the drivers side and pulling it up, took 20 mins but i was scratching me head to start with as couldnt see fook all lol


oh well one airbag light now sorted

oh one more qestion if poss


engine mountings gone i think, as gearstick rock back / forward with throttle when driving, is there a mount at the bottom of engine between the engine and bulkhead like on the older meganes etc? i changed one the other month was only about 10" long with a round mount at each end



is this the same?


got a noisey air con pump too cars been sat a year (salvage)goes when rev it hard, then after a few sec idling comes back again, hoping i can lube that fooker lol


its a 2002 1.4
