rear dics conv. . will the back stop harder than the front ?
just got another S2 off my mate . he has just fitted a rear disc conversion to it . think is was saff bits . he has bleed the breaks etc but i havent drove the car yet cos it needs timing and a tune up . am i being stupid or how do i know that when cornering and breaking hard , the rear aint going to act like the handbrake has been pulled up ? will the rears just pinch as tight as before with the drums , or do i need to adjust something ?
sorry if this sounds like a dumb question

basically what i did to mine and my mates was adjust the bias as long as its not a abs model
on the drivers inner wing under the engine mount theres 2 cylinders
these are your brake bias
the more they are tilted forward the more braking force you have at the front, more back more at the rear
you need to take out the top 13mm bolt as you wont be able to have it bolted with 2 bolts again once moved forwardas the hole wont line up, but the bottom bolt will hold it very well anyhow
my car was like this for years and no problems
to set it up i hadmy mate stand at teh side of a private test track and id come dow and hit my brakes, he would then tel me what what wheels locked up first, as it was the backs i re adjusted the bias valve until i was happy with the braking
but id also advise getting a cossie setup on the front if you dont already have one as this will help a lot
