Default PF plumbers! Boiler flue Q...

Help.

My boiler flue (combi) currently goes horizontally out of my kitchen at a height of 2.2m, is it possible to extend the outlet pipework vertically, to say, go through a conservatory roof??

If not, my plans are fucked.

Ta.

Baxi 105E, about 2 years old.

Thing is, I still need it to go out of the wall first then upwards.

Do you still have installation instructions?

usually a dedicated FLUE section in those, detailing exactly what can and cant be done with each boiler.

there are max lengths etc etc

Just been looking, but I presume the vertical flue kits are designed to go straight out of the boiler top, not through 2 90 degree bends.

The manufacturers instructions will tell you exactly what you can and can't do with a particular boiler.

Normally there is a maximum length you can go vertically, you can put bends on but for each one you fit you normally lose 0.5 m of overal length.

Baxi install manual for 105HE (can't find E) says vertical flue not allowed after the 90 degree bend on top of the boiler.
So you could rise higher at the boiler and then 90 horizontal, but you can't do another 90 vertical after that, max total is 3mtrs, where a 90 degree bend equals 1 mtr.
Probably the same for the 105E.

Fuck that!

Actually the 105HE is a condensor, mine isn't. Wonder if that makes a difference?

Will have a word with the supplier tomorrow...

Scroll down to page 16 and it will tell you exactly what you can and can't do

Max vertical flue length 4m, each 45 bend=0.5m each 90 bend=1m

Cheers.
