Default Can you make coilovers less hard with softer springs?

Found some awesome £2200 worth of coilovers on the GTR forum for not much at all, but apparently they are so solid it's unreal, made for track use and stuff.

http://www.sumopower.com/zsfunc.htm

Have a look on the link, they do different rate springs so maybe I could just put some 700lbs springs on them?Is it as simple as that to just put softer poundage springs on em and soften the ride up a bit? Or does it not work like that? I know they'll be matched to the damping, but I'm not exactly the Stig behind the wheel so would I even notice it?

Cheers

Andy

coil springs are only about £15 each, so you can do plenty of experimenting with different rates. 700 is still quite high i would say, but i don't know what is good for a skybus

My advice is do not buy any jap spec suspension as they have no idea,
Any good suspension manufactor will recommend revalving when changing springs,
If you want proper suspension for s Skyline buy Ohlins from the UK use Aurok.
