Both cars look identical on the outside apart from wheels but the RS has more power, for me theres no contest here, the RS is the one id have.
Infact thats the car i want next because in my opinion the 2.0 150bhp engine is what the GTi should have had
The GTi is a great car though, ive had mine for nearly 2 years and use it everyday and its never let me down and most people dont know there was a GTi in the ford range

absolutely no comparison in how they drive, RS2000 wins hands down. GTi is just a mainstream Escort with toys and a very ordinary engine and horrible seats. If you have driven both it will be obvious
GTi will be available a few years younger, that's the only choice to make IMO. Rear arches fall out of all of them, and at the age they all are now it's unlikely a couple of years less age will make any difference, you just have to find one that's been looked after (or had arches replaced lol)

Theres nothing wrong with the GTi's seats, i should know ive had my arse in them for the last 2 years ive drove 300-400 mile trips and when i get out the car nothing is aching at all
I think its all down to what you want, cheaper insurance or abit more grunt
