To weld or to sell?
Afternoon all.
First post on here, so may as well jump straight in...
Bought myself an XR4x4 the other day, which when I looked round it in the barn looked fairly good.
Just got it home, and poked through the under seal...
Most of the floorpan seems to no longer be attached to the sills, along with some other issues.
Now otherwise, (with a battery) the car starts and drives, despite being barn stored for 10 years. One owner from new, etc etc.
So the question is... Am I likely to be able to sell it on now the situation is known, or, is welding these up not too bad? I can weld, but I haven't got the time or space to fully strip it down, etc.
Thoughts?

Anything can be repaired mate its just a matter of how much time money and effort you want to throw at it. If you can weld and its only the bits of floor you have shown that needs doing ,then that can be done quite easily. But in my experiance that will be the tip of the ice berg and it will be far more rotten. Might be worth just breaking it to get your money back.

Sod breaking that, get the carpet out. Angle grind back to good metal(IE chop a straight line from the rear to the front of the rot and plate weld and grind the welds back both inside and out.
