no fuel to injectors mk4 xr3i
having a real problem with my 88 mfi xr3i when i first turn the key the fuel pump primes then when i go to start the car will fire on the cold start valve for about 2-3 seconds before cutting out again, i tried cracking off the banjos on the top of the metering unit which feed the injectors but nothing although the banjo bolt itself feels wet could it be the fuel pump? if so can anyone tell me were this is as there seems to be one under the bonnet and one near to the fuel tank quite confused.

eureka! got it going with curiosity really took the metering head off and there was a piston on the bottom of it cranked it over and it fired but i had disconneced the air hose so reconnected that and started again gave it some revs and the little piston shot out so decided for curiosty sake i would put the head back on and see what happens, i now own a running xr3i
