hi , just got my van up & running with a xr3i mfi engine in , after finally getting the fuel pipes the right way round , i get it started & it wont acclerate or increase in revs ,

the revs will increase if i turn distributor but if i touch the throttle linkage it stalls as though it over fuels or to much air

also does anybody have pics or a diagram off where the vacuum pipes should go

I reckon split vaccum pipe or inlet hose

check all your connections/jubilee clips are tight

also check everywhere for any plugs not on

make sure no fuel leaks on injection pipes and did you re-fit all your copper washers on both sides of your fuel unions

Check the airflap is not stuck on the fuel metering unit too and you have good fuel pressure, pumps that are very buzzy can be very worn and produce poor pressure when flow is required
