escort mk4 xr3i efi.
hi,
can anyone advise.
i have a 1990 xr3i efi,the air charge temp sensor is unpluged,if i reconnect it the car runs great when cold but when warm it stalls or has spitty tick over and not very driveable,so i brought a new sensor made no difference just 12 pounds down the drain, the problem is with this sensor unpluged the car runs okish but has flat spots when cold and not very responsive hot or cold,i owned a escort xr3i mfi for 18 years and this was much more faster so something is very wrong with my new car.
can any one please help.
regards geminitime.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Try the crank sensor and throttle position sensor aswell as these are common problems.
Check all connections onto the sensors. Check all of the pipes for cracks and splits.
Also check all the earth points as i had the same problem and it was a bad earth!
