hi all what is the easiest to fit into a 1987 xr2 either the 2.0 zetec engine on standard fuel injection or the mfi rs turbo engine what do you think...

both not hard to do mate i have a 130 bhp spec 1.8zetec in my 1989 xr2

my mate has just put a 2.0 black top in and although not to difficult lots of little bits need doing such as engine mounts due to the holes not lining up unless you want to run with a few bolts missing, another pully for alternator etc, as said lots of little bits.

parts needed for zetec

1.8 or 2L if you use the 2L you need a 1.8 sump and oil pick up and the water pump
cvh box and clutch efi fly wheel
fiesta si engine loom
ally inlet of xr3i 130 is the best
early xr3i ecu or a early 2L mondeo ecu (deep) (dewy) (desk)
alt pully from zetec
cvh front mount starter
mod the exhaust
cossie or erst pump
mrk 5 top hose
cvh rad
6 wires joined in to xr2 loom
