Default Violent Jolting

I've got a sapphire 4x4 its running about 400bhp, when ripping say in 3rd to 5th foot flat to the floor it comes on boost no problem gets to about 4000rpm and it hits a wall it doesn't cut out just a violent jolting I've changed the phase sensor the magnet had disintrgrated, but its still doing it I've got a new tdc sensor but haven't fitted it could this be the problem? it just started doing it hadn't changed anything just gave it a clean

cheers

Rand

not sure depends on what spec and plug i suppose, only reason why i say that is i used to have an rsturbo, that ran on high boost 24 psi, courtesy of mark shead, and the exact thing happened to that,it would come on boost, then start jolting and really misbehaving, low boost which was 11 psi was fine, gave him a call, adjust the gap he said,i did,and everything was fine!!

This sounds like my Cossie!!! Get to 4k RPM and it runs like shite! But mine, when this happens, if I lift off the pedal say half-way, it starts running better and the revs climb again, but lifting off the pedal = so am watching this thread!!!

The plugs are DENSO ones I checked them and there is no fouling on them all normal just got to get a spark plug gapper and set them to about 1mm will also change the TDC sensor and let everyone know the outcome

It He mounts a few spark plugs Champion Q59C that are the good ones, looks at the hollow of the sensor of phase of 1mm, also the captator of the distributor-head that has to have 6mm.

could it be a fuel pressure fault? i would just like to say that when i bought my cossie i found i had this problem as well but more of a miss under full load, but was fine half throttle. Turned out the vac pipe leading to the fuel pressure reg was leading to the bottom outlet on the plenum which is actaully part of the breahter system whch left me running a constant 3 bar fuel pressure , took in to MD they repiped it and it has been fine ever since
