CHANGED DASH NOW NO SPARK OR FUEL...HELP
hello people, now I hope someone replies to this as I am pulling my hair out.
I have a f feg 2wd cossie hope bought the car half built it has a Clifford alarm on, the car starts first time every time, until here i go.ha ha when i got the car i bought it of some lad who had changed the dash to a later spec...why i don't no cos its just hassle, i wanted to change it back to standard, so I got a new dash which is fine I changed it last weekend///// now when I tried to start it no go......no spark and no fuel. DOES ANYONE ONE HAVE ANY IDEAS..I have done all the basic thing except check if I have a live to my ecu...do you think that because there is no spark that the ecu will not start the fuel pump???? HELP HELP.....

on the engine loom side of things, you've got the multiplug at the car loom/engine loom interface (passenger side near the top of the bulkhead), 2 (perhaps 3) relays (behind the glove box), 2 fuses (by the relays), and obviously the ECU connector.
check you've got 12V at the car loom/engine loom multiplug - black and black/red wires IIRC - if not, you've probably disturbed some of the alarm/imobiliser wiring

Been on the car all day I have got 12v on the multi plug, but I noticed something, when I fire the car up I have no fuel, but I get a spark only once tho and then its dead. I think its the alarm so I am going to disconnect it. and if it does not still fire up then I no its not that...
ps anyone want a cossie not running cheap ha ha ha would take PART EX...
SORRY JON YES I FOUND THAT PLUG I HAD 12V ON THE BLK BUT NOT ON THE RED/BLK... IT JUST SEEMS SO STRANGE THAT I HAVE NOT GOT FUEL CUMIN UP TWO... I JUST DONT WANT TO RIP THE ALARM OUT AN FIND OUT ITS NOT THAT..BUT I AM 90% SURE ITS THAT, WHEN THEM CLIFFORDSS GO WRONG THEY DO..HA HA

Look at the phase sensor wiring in the dizzy first - the insulation rots on old phase sensors, and the wires can come into contact. The wiring on the CPS goes brittle - maybe you broke the wires.

wont start
Jon i know what your saying, but i have not even been under the bonnet so i could not have broke any wires. i have a feeling that its the alarm, this i think is the first thing...you watch i will take this full clifford out an it still wont start..ha ha i hope not, would the phase sensor stop the fuel tho?? is this on the side of the dizzy?? i will look at this first.

Hi mate,
just a thought about your fuel problem, have you checked the fuel cut off switch in the boot, have you chucked something on top of it and it has tripped out?
Mike.

Hi and thanks for all your thoughts and options, I had an auto elec round today, I think he sh** him self when he seen all them black wires from the Clifford.ha ha, he just said to me take the alarm out as it has two immobilizers on. he put a live straight to the fuel relay and it pumped fuel so one thing I no I have lost the main switch live going to the pump, he could not find out what was wrong with the coil side of it. I am just going to take the immobilizer side out of the loom I do think now its the alarm. I nearly died when he said he would do it for Ł45 an hour....ONE THING THO DOES ANYONE HAVE THE ELECTRICAL DIAGRAM OF THE FUEL PUMP WIRING AND THE COIL SIDE ECT I HAVE SEARCHED FOR IT AND CAN NOT FIND IT ON HERE.
MANY THANKS VINNY

Yeah i have got a manual on disc, but its not that clear..the wiring from the ecu is hard to follow coz its a dodgy copy..but i should be able to do it from this, i have just worked out that there is a main live which controls the fuel relay and the main power relay. so i think i have lost this as i have no voltage on the coil amplifier, does this make sense to you??? i think if the alarm is in between this live then it would stop the circuit from working???? but one thing is i dont think its that simple as you would not take just one wire out withe the alarm to control the coil an the fuel pump, you would think that there is more to it????
