im the same as you pal, i snapped loads and what had happened was i was snapping them where it goes through the bulk head,n.r ratchet, the cable isnt sitting right and its slowly wearing through them.now i have to make sure its seated correctly and just keep checking.some 1 told me that this is a fault on sapphires.I dont know how true it is though.if your cable is not snapping here it could be your turbo melting it! hope you sort it

The clutchcable doesn´t seem to cope with the extra tension made by uprated clutch plates (not sure what i is called in english, but a direct translation from norwegian would be "pressure plate" )
Mine always snaps by the pedal, and I think it´s because it has the sharpest bend there. (around the plastic adjustment sprocket(?) )

mine has snapp a couple of times too since ive owned it, by the ratchet again, and my mates sapphire snapped his last week... by the ratchet. Goode do a replacement cable doing away with the ratchet and pawl auto adjustment, but it costly at £175 for manual adjustment.
Anybody used one yet? Could always go Hydraulic?!?!?! ££££s
