They are a much better, smoother and more reliable ecu, but you will have to mod the loom, buy a TPS and a new chip.

Sorry to jack the thread but would you not have to change as much if you used a L6 instead of a L8?

i beg to differ but to fit a L8 ecu into L1/L6 car simply reverse the 3 tps wires.done it on my own saff and its been running 4 years like that!! (with an appropriate L8 chip obviously which i got from motorsport developments)

when you swap the outer wires round, can it be done in the ecu plug or must it be at the tps end, i.e do the wires from the ecu go only to the tps or do they split?

reason i ask is i can't get the tps plug apart and don't want to cut wires, but ecu plug pins can be prised out easily

?????????

also i believe as stu says, you need to change the wiring AS WELL AS fitting a pf09 4x4 tps, as i fitted the pfo9 and l8 but secs monitor still shows throttle going from 0% to 100% full throttle but if you set it (secs) to 4x4 tps it reads backwards.(with pf09 on 2wd loom)

?????
help

just found the diagrams, loom can't be modded at ecu end, must be done near the tps as the wires are used for other things. better get the scotchlocks out
