Picking up a 1987 pre facelift estate later on this month.


Not looking to go wild; I only bought a wagon for the dogs.(got a 4efte starlet for that) However, since it is quite a basic model, would like to upgrade interior a bit.
Firstly, other than dog guard, I intend to install airconditioning. (it is a must in Mediterranean summers).


Are components a straight swap under the hood? or are modifications necessary? and if so to what extent?

the ac cars have a different bulkhead panel so you'd need to strip the whole front in order to weld in the replacement

you can get them from the granada though and most of the granada stuff will swap over

you may need to do a bit of wire fiddling though and i'd ditch the recirc

you'll also need longer bolts and spacers if you run the granada ac rad
