Default Oil hose location help

Hi all, i recently purchased a YB 2wd engine and i am struggling to find the purpose and location place of the oil hose to the sump as seen in the attached pics, maybe an oil return from something? or part of a breather system? it also has a tap type item as seen in the pics, when i got the engine it just came with the loom and ecu and no other bits and bobs. the sump is also winged on one side. the engine didnt come from a sierra so thats maybe why its only winged on the 1 side? thanks for taking the time to look

I can only get the 1st pic to open, but in that 1 the hose is going in under the oil level

So thats a return for a breather system

thanks, any idea as to why it would have a tap to stop/allow flow along the hose?
