Default Rear beam bushes.. What is the preferred choice poly or solid?

Hi there, just curious to know what do owners use to replace their worn out old rear beam bushes? I see some use poly yellow or purple, some
use the black series Powerflex track type and others use solid mounts.
Would the solid mounts be to harsh for a road car, noisy maybe? Same question would the black Powerflex series bushes be to harsh for a road orientated car?
Considering changing mine over the winter, would like some thoughts from owners that have done this.

Thanks. Lee.

Now that is interesting, no noise in the car or vibration? I am suprised at that.Does the car feel very firm on the rear end, remember I am only using mine as a road car, so don't want it to ride like a brick with no give.

MSD do the solid mounts, go on e bay or Poweflex direct or Matt Lewis for Powerflex.I hope this helps.

I would also like to know, as I will be replacing all of mine over winter, already got the black powerflex ones for the rear trailing arms, just wondering if they will be a bit harsh or do I justbuy the full set, how much difference are they compared to the yellow/purple ones

I'm sure from factory the trailing arm bushes are actually steel bearings so if you mean those I'd replace them with the same, ggr do a replacement kit for around Ł300.
The beam to chassis mounts I'd replace with yellow powerflex.
There is an old thread on here about the different colours of bush and the difference between the cheaper deflex kits and powerflex,I thought polyurethane was the same hardness but it's not, black is very hard, yellow is medium and purple is softer iirc.
The guy who broke cossies also put up pics of used deflex and powerflex tca bushes and the deflex bushes were all out if shape.
He said any deflex bushes he takes off go in the bin, powerflex are always in a saleable condition.
That was me told!

As above , if trailing arms replace with GGR items and use power flex yellows for beam seat.

I put solid beam mounts on mine and it turned out to be the most cost effective mod I've ever done. It really transformed the cars handling, although my original bushes were knackered.

Didn't notice any reay difference in noise etc, however i fitted one of those uprated diff mounts msd sell a couple of weeks later and that made things a little harsher

As said above, your trailing arms have bearings as standard so leave them alone. Poly bushes here would only be an upgrade for an 1800 lx sierra.

i just wouldnt be a lover of metal against metal on a road car.

i would imagine it must put extra stress and the chasis leg which is a weak enough point will absorb poor road conditions

I think I will either get the Powerflex pro series(black) or the yellow Powerflex, need to decide on this.I think I will leave the solid mounts, maybe a bit much for a road car.I don't want the ride feeling like a brick.
Anyone got the black Pro series fitted to their beam and can you give me some feedback on this please?

Which ones did you go for in the end, yellow or black for the beam bushes?
