Agreed with comment above Sam, I hated the paddle clutch in mine...was one of first things I got taken out.
Meant to be ok if you go hydraulic clutch at same time but ruined the car for me!

Not going for hydraulic clutch then? If you are going to be using the car a lot it is well worth considering.I have been very happy with my conversion, it is so much lighter and has much more "feel" to it than the cable operation.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
So called "cheap" performance tyres have got so much better now there really is no need to spend shit loads on big name brands. I have Federal 595RSR 215/40/17s on my Saff and find them very good and a reasonable price. As you have said with your Nankangs they are also very good.A lot of " tyre snobs" will wrongly dismiss ours as rubbish without really knowing anything about them apart from the low price!

Seems the alcon + helix cover is ok though?

Its just personal preference regarding hydraulic clutch conversion, For me with a 6 paddle clutch it was awful with the original cable operation, very heavy and virtually no control . It was either engaged or dis engaged all within an inch or less of travel. When I was stuck in long traffic hold ups it was a nightmare. I now find even getting reverse is easy with no crunch which on a T5 is unusual. I am a convert and just wish I had done it years ago!

Alcon or Helix clutch and cover will be good.

Do you have a centre push bearing type or an external type slave cylinder?

The only visible thing you see in the engine bay which looks neat and tidy.

Hi Paul I got mine from Reyland Motorsports. I did need to get a second hand bellhousing which I sent to them and they welded a new bracket on for the external slave cylinder. At the same time I got a lightened flywheel and a Helix 6 paddle clutch kit from them.

not much to report on it really. got some work to do on it before spring going to do a few trips with the mrs.
Had a quote from PJ motorsport for all the work i need doing as they are local and heard good things. I would go MSD but it is really far.
Things to be done are full service.
New clutch and reground flywheel
remapped.
Still need to find a 2wd mongoose with 4inch rolled tailpipe to finish it off.
