I have just replaced my tps last night and the car was running perfect. So I decided to take it a short run to make sure everything was ok. I drove out the garage about 2 feet and all of a sudden the car starts to over fuel badly and spluttering. Could the tps being out cause the car to over fuel I replaced the tps to same place as old 1.

I bet it could, I think you can do a search on here to find out how to calibrate the TPS. Also worth checking the output voltage, I think it ranges from 0.5 to 4.5V

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
What ecu are you using? The standard one for an RS500?
When yes, then you need to swap back the wires for the TPS and get a PF01 TPS.
By swapping the wires the ecu now thinks the throttle is wide open.

Hi,
Refer to No7 in the list.... It should be 4.5v or above with closed throttle.
Not open circuit but actually 5v or shorted to the 5v supply if you want to get technical about it... lol
The switch tells the ECU to activate the idle control valve.
The TPS is on slotted mounts so you leave the screws slack and move the TPS until you get 4.5 or above with the throttle closed, then nip up the screws.

But yes the actual voltage, as you say would be 5V or slightly less and with the slightest opening of the throttle it drops to like 4.4 V or less, as the switch closes.
