sierra 2wd over fuelling and hesitation problem
hi, i recently bought a 2wd yb cosworth and it has a few faults.
1. it wont idle from cold, after 1 minute it idles fine.
2. just before it comes on boost it hesitates badly then boosts fine.
3. at idle it is over fuelling as you can smell it badly.
as much as i know it is running standard injectors and turbo.
i know a few years ago the car was modified to 380bhp.
im thinking it could be the chip in the ecu, but after a bit of reading it seemingly could be many things.
i dont know very much at all about these engines, ive worked on modern diesels doing basic things but nothing like this.
can someone tell me where to start ?

Possibly a leaking fuel pressure regulator, what chip has it got? Was the chip changed from when it used to run more power?
