Default 6degree beam, roll bar choice

After some advice
I've fitted 6degree rear beam to my 3dr also purchased bladed roll bar. Roll bar won't fit with fuel tank in situ, really don't want put tank in boot nor do I wanna cut out floor, spare wheel well to fit one. What are ppl fitting who have 6degree? Escos?

Have you spoken to MK motorsport as he can advise.

I have seen them mounted from the front and the rear, is there space behind the beam?

Mark can help you with bespoke mounts, or maybe see if you can get the car to Grimsby for him to look at and advise. He has an escos on WRC cradle so he will know what he is looking at.

Yh I spoke to Mark Sunday when trying to fit it. I bought items from Mark that's why I got in touch with him. If you fit it in front of beam diff mount n diff won't go in. If try move it back where it needs to live then fuel tank n wheel well in way. I asked Mark if it fits with fuel tank n wheel well still in an he said he don't know. Rear arms dont have any mounts on them either and I've had it all powder coated as I presumed they were all done ready for roll bar to be mounted too. I don't wanna cut floor and wheel well out to fit tank in I wanted it to remain as is. I want fast road car not track car hence post

Hmm, tough one that. he did ask me when doing my beam if I wanted bladed or normal mounts.

If you are about 2 hrs away I would probably take the car to him to see what can be done. I know it is a pain but you could grind back a bit of powder, weld on and stone chip over and you wouldn't see much of it. I am going to have a similar issue fitting the rear one to my 205. I have bought one for the front that is needing a fair bit of fabrication to fit and I will use that as a mock up for the rear but if I cannot get it on I will have to have the car trailored to MK to see if he can find a solution. I don't mind cutting my shell as it is already a hybrid of pug 205 and Cossie but I would not butcher an Escort or Sierra if I had one.

If you absolutely cannot fit it and if I can see a way to get it on mine I would happily buy yours off you on the understanding that it saves Mark having to discuss refunds with you etc...and I just won't buy new from him. If yours is untouched I dont see what I couldn't pay full price even though I would normally look for a low ball to gain from someone elses problem.

Nah no ones fault it just obviously not meant to fit with std fuel tank. I ain't got trailer as car is bare shell just rear beam n tank on. I live 3hr if not more away from him. Cost to hire trailer, fuel n pay for work done is not in my budget. Surely everyone who got 6degree beam don't have track cars! N all fitted bladed roll bar?

Easiest way would be to weld back on some stock ARB mounts and use original ARB I would have thought.

Pic below is of a Sapphire beam and I'm not sure if the mounts are in the right place for 3 door

I think that’s why it has a bit welded on to the back of the cover to make up the space to the normal mount...it works like that on the supra diff

As long as floor is strong enough you may be fine, the billet mounts still has rubber in it. Not sure if for vibration or just a bit of give

I’ve got standard ARB with my beam
I think for a road car like your should be fine
If not and I feel I need to upgrade think I’ll just buy a thicker ARB

The bladed one is great, front or back, you just undo an Allen bolt, twist the blade and dial in whatever you want.

Welded tab on Jag diff cover was just for measuring, don't think it would last too long like that!

I spent a stupid amount of hours making a billet cover to take a MSD diff mount - or standard one.

No way I would make another with the slow old CNC mill at work!

I would happily share the 3d file with Mark from MK free of charge if you wanted to have one, the engraving took a long time to machine - would be cheaper plain.

Yes, I spoke to a company a while back about making bellhousings for Skyline box to Cossie engine...one offs really cheap OR they can scan a prototype and then make a mould for loads.

Is there a ready supply of Jag diffs, I wonder if it would be better to find a very modern car like a mustang with an ally diff at the right ratio and then have a beam or cradle adapted to suit. I was talking to Mark recently. I either want to have a billet supra diff housing to save weight OR try to find a lighter diff eventually. Not sure how much the weight aids traction though?

Hellraiser.
I think you'd be best getting a Escos 22mm Arb, and get welded onto your arms fitting points for the drop links.
That's what I run with my 6 deg beam.

I like it a lot.
Read a lot of negative crap before I fitted it.....like, car will swap ends on motorway when on power etc....
Which is obvious crap as the Arb is doing nothing unless you are leaning the car.
