What kind of Cams on big turbo engine?
I've a sierra with n3a (2.0 16v) engine from scorpio with forged pistons and rods. I installed a big holset and I want to improve a little how it spools and thought about playing with camshafts or buying new ones.
So, as Cosworth engine is similar and there are many ones with big turbos I want to ask about what kind of cams do you have

Fuck me that turbo is huge, how much power should it make?

10K+ Poster!!
Would that strut brace still actually add any rigidity?
I think inlet cam is the one to swap on a cossie. I had bdr rally spec cams in my n/a zetec 2.0 on bodies. Raceline or mountune are prob some of the people to speak to.

I don't know exactly. It looks bigger than it is because is variable geometry capable of supporting petrol EGTs, so turbine housing is huge. Model is Holset he351ve. Compressor It's like hx40.. So should flow like gt35(or even a little more). It was supposed to spool like a gt28 thanks to the vgt technology.. But probably that was too much optimistic. For the moment I spent money on this, and effort building the manifold and building the electronic controller, so I want to try more with it prior considering changing it for smaller turbo.
The strut brace has this shape because my last engines were DOHC 8v, with its inlet manifold and a 2.9 24v BOB with the same problem. So I had to modify a STD brace to fit that engines. I can modify for this engine.
Now that you said that of Cossie (I also own a 4wd Cossie) remember the fact or changing just the inlet manifold as you said. Time ago I bought a bd14 for installing in inlet.
For this engine I could buy just a more radical inlet manifold and let exhaust STD and play with exhaust cam timing
