Default Lambda problem

I have a 1992 saph cossie. Ive fitted a new T34 and it doesnt have anywhere to put the lambda sensor. So i plan to weld a boss to the down pipe! Im not sure my lambda sensor is the right one as everyone says its a m18x1.5 thread buy its been measured at m12.1.25 thread. Anyone shed any light on this as i cant find a boss to fit it?

Its a simple difference in lambda sensors.

The OE one is the smaller type which you may have to make a boss for, quite simple to do.

The Larger one is a newer style lambda like the 3 wire Bosch we use which is m18x1.5 bosses are readily available for these.
