Default fuel pressure regulator leak

Hello!

I have a 4x4 Sierra cosworth and it started to run poorly. Plugs are fooled, not revving up. I have removed the vacuum hose from the weber fuel pressure regulator and noticed fuel dripping out of it..i assume there should be no fuel present, only air.

Is it possible to rebuild it? Or i must buy a new/used one?

thanks for the reply

The original regulators are shite, prone to leaks and in a friends cossie caused a fire which destroyed the car.
Got my replacement from msd around £100

Hardly shite. They're 20yr+ old parts, think they've done their time...

Thanks guys for the info. Does MSD supply regulators for 4wd too? I see their listing on ebay for 2wd but not for 4wd.

Had the same issue on a rs500 i serviced. Drove in fine, did a service, drive out the workshop coughing it's head off, eventually found the reg was leaking fuel back into the inlet. Fortunately had a spare 2wd one to get him home. The parts are old now and the cars spend a lot of time sat around which does some components no favours sadly
