Sierra 2.0i dohc throttle position sensor
I am searching for a replacement throttle position sensor for my 1989 Sierra 2.0i DOHC (non-cat). Ford no longer list them, and the sensors advertised on line appear to be of a different fitment to that on my car. Does anyone have one to sell, or have any suggestions as to where i can get hold of one? Thanks.

Throttle position sensor
Am I to understand from your message that you might have a sensor to suit my engine? It is the type of sensor that has a short flylead with a triangular three pin plug which clips to the underside of the throttle body. From memory I think the Ford part number is 85TF-9B989-AB.

there were 2 types, an earlier one and a later one with gold pins to stop them being so problematic
they are the same on the 2.9 from memory but you'd need to get a good working one as opposed to a new one as it's the sticking of them that causing the problems
they also need to be set up properly too
