Sapphire buzzing from fuse box & indicator problem
Hi all
We have a Sierra Sapphire 1.8cvh, since last week we have had trouble with the indicators, either flashing fast (like a bulb is out but all 3 flash ok) or not flashing at all when the stalk is moved. This only occurs when the lights are on. Ive also noticed when I switch the side lights on, they come on ok but the blue relay in the fuse box makes a loud buzzing noise, then when the indicator is turned on it will buzz in pulses. Ive tried another blue relay that I knew works fine with the same result.
Ive checked the wiring at the back lights as I know the connectors give up after a while but they all look fine and work perfect (apart from the indicators when the lights are switched on)
Anyone had something similar happen before. Im kind of stumpted.
Many thanks in advance
Nick

normally this means the stalk has failed
but you can also tr to change the flasher relay, but this is hidden behind the instrument cluster on the main bit of the bodywork behind the dash so much more work involved
simplest solution would be to start swapping bulbs around as it could just be a faulty bulb
