OIL pressure switches
Help.Sierra Cosworth 2wd.
but it doesn't matter on the car.
Im doing the oil pressure gauge.
I had a sender and gauge from another project.
As these matched I fitted them.
I used the white spec R one as I new it came with the sender.
Question 1 Could I use the sender with the black gauge ,which seems to be better quality,
Question 2 .
I couldn't mechanical fit the sender today but wired the gauge up.
The diagram is how i have wired it up.
The terminal that looked like the negative is the signal.
Mine is as the diagram below.
The lights were easy.
There was a + and a - also a squiggle
The negative was easy but as I put the positive on the gauge it flicked from left to right.
I put the positive on the squiggle signal sign and wired the sender wire to the positive.
It looks ok with the lights on but the sender is not mechanicly plumbed up.
Have I done correct .
Advice on the senders like they are all compatable etc.
Also I will have to take a picture of the rear of the gauge to show the wiring.7Please advize.

I fitted the mechanical sender and all didn't work.
I changed the gauge and still the wrong result.I changed the sender and hey presto I must have been using the oil temp sender and all works.
Just over 6 bar is the result.
Picture added as well.
