That is just mental Mark those BW turbos really do the business.
do you think it would make more say with a ab07 cam and hart inlet?
Also what exhaust manifold was it on?

cheers

With those parts and a 7670 I think you could get to 500hp. The turbo needs a non factory exhaust manifold.

470hp is easy on a good stock engine. With the changes the other poster asked about for the 500hp one.
The only change to a stock engine I recomend is a metal head gasket.

It should not if done correctly but you would be clearly pushing the motor hard.

I have a std engine running exactly that amount that Mark mapped for me and put together the externals, it trashed the gearbox in no time but made the numbers. It is super responsive and almost feels slower than the laggy t34 I had due to the fast spool.

And you never ran it at full power wait until you turn the boost up

Happy days if a hart inlet releases 60bhp. I do not think it will?

A GOOD standard YB, a quality T38 and a set of decent injectors and strong head gasket will often yield up around the 450 mark.
The most I have seen on the dyno live mapping a T38 was 463 at 2.3bar but I suspect that was higher than standard compression as it also made unusually good low end power.

I made 411bhp at the rear wheels with a standard engine. No head porting, no special crank or pistons. Just a GT30. A MAD inlet cam, a decent ecu and mapping and boost.

Dynoed flywheel, we tend to use fly here where as many other countries refer whp and I wouldn't bother with the debate, it has been done to death.

reviving this old thread.

What spec is this MAD inlet cam?
which BD cam is it equivalent to, or is it a completely different spec?

If everyone knew its Spec then it would not be a MAD Spec. I know from my own cams that Mark talks long & hard to a certain cam company getting exactly what he wants.

I often have people ask me the same question about some of my custom code I run on my websites. and my answer is the same, if I release it it would not longer be custom code

Same here on our 320bhp conversion for the Fiesta 1.6 Ecoboost.

Random call from Tuner X.
"Hi Stu... we cant get more than 260bhp. What boost, spark advance and torque profile are you using? Are you desensitising the engine roughness tables? How do you get round the 1.6bar boost limits?"

Id be too embarassed to ask somethingh like that!

He will also tell his customers how great he is and how crap you arethis seems to be standard practice with most tuners

Wouldnt it be lovely to work in an industry where tradesmen respected each other and just did their own thing?

Drives me crackers mate, so many dissrespectful backstabbing tossers in our industry.

Most of whom genuinely wouldnt pass my little 2 page tuning exam that I give prospective employees before they can open a customers bonnet here.

So does that mean i cannot have your cam specs then Mark and those spark advance tables from you Stu?

Lmfao.

I get the same at work with joe public asking how we do things trouble is there is only so many ways to tell them to bring it to us.

At least now there are tuners like you both who do your own development work and turn out some cracking results. Unlike the days of copied dodgy chips.

HI Rod,
i understand your point, but it would be good to have a general idea as to lift and duration so it could be compared to other cam specs.
