Default Make a Sapp to chase R32 GTR...

My 2WD Sapp now is standard except for 3" Mongoose, -31 actuator and K&N filter.

What other upgrades are needed? Which stage is needed?

Or spend Ł5k to Ł7k on exhaust, efr turbo, twinscroll manifold, standalone vipec ecu with coil on plug plus and intercooler upgrade and you should have 450bhpplus and a bit more than 450 ft lb gpof torque....you might need clutch n brakes with suspension too.

My last sapph was stage 3 365hp, t34/48, on track at donnington I followed a white r34 round lap after lap, both cars seemed equal until we spoke in the pits, told me his was ment to be 600bhp and couldn't believe I'd stayed with him.
I know the track and car well but the best upgrade which separated us was my AP brakes, they were great until I boiled the fluid.
Not all about power as it's useless if you can't use it.

Genuine 350 saff with a good amount of boost up it will be faster on the road than a r32 others will say it won't but they are. My work mate had an r33 and I honest think it was slower than a standard saff lol
But tune the skyline and its a different story! It's swings and roundabouts. But as standard cars yeah skylines handle really well but 32's and 33's are not that fast there big old lumps

The Skyline is a fucking land yacht, even a 32 is a big old girl. But they're far more tunable in pretty much every aspect.

They are the same size, but the Cosworth has a weight advantage.

Assuming the R32 to be standard then I would have thought a stage 3 would be a lot faster, a remap (i.e. stage 1) will even the power up on both sides.

Never got on with .63 housing, went from 48-63 and ruined my car so went straight back, just felt lazy and all top end.
Wouldn't have a paddle clutch given to me, but the rest is pretty much where you need to be

Are you chasing or wanting to beat this R32 that seems to bother you. Have you checked hes not got 1200+bhp under the bonnet or are you into my modded Cossie kicked the butt of a Standard car as most are. Unless you enter a competition don't worry about trying to be jack the lad on the road its pointless. There must be loads of Mondeo Estates you can beat whatever your Power.

Thanks for your reminder. Just avoid to be insulted by some lightly modded GTRs. Maintain the integrity of a Fast Ford. Meaningless to begin with super huge turbo and WRC engine. (may need them in fact!?) Please discuss.

Are you in Hong kong? Can't be many Cosworths ? Got any pics of yours and where it's at performance wise at the minute and most important can you drive it or not much point doing much more, a lot different and more involving than your average GTR

i have a 34/48 on my saff and it works well. Trouble is even the organic clutch cant handle the 400lbft of torque.

That's a nice looking sapph! Is it an original Cosworth? Because I thought the Cosworth was only available from 1988. And I also noticed it has the RS side skirts instead of the Cosworth skirts.

Standard head bolts and a group A gasket.

Wrc or multi layer if your having engine rebuilt with head and block skim to ensure perfect faces.

I'm pretty sure there were sapphs registered in 1987, I've defo seen an 87 sapph over here but yes side skirts are Rs option as fitted to some xr4x4's
